Amazonia

The Amazon is perhaps one of the Colombian regions where most American Indian peoples have survived. This fact is a rich culture that puts the country in touch with the demonstrations and pre-Columbian ethnography. The presence of settlers inside the country and sisters in neighboring republics such as Brazil, Peru, Venezuela and Ecuador, contributed to enrich the panorama.
The main rivers of the Colombian Amazon are:

    * Amazon River
    * Caquetá River
    * Putumayo River
    * Guaviare River
    * River Apaporis
    * River Vaupés
